Having a criminal record poses a serious problem for students applying for admission to colleges and universities. The Common Application used by more than 600 institutions asks students certain questions about their criminal history. However, the U.S. Department of Education is urging schools to remove questions about a student’s criminal record in the early stages of college applications.
If you were arrested with a group of other minors at a drinking party then we may be able to beat the charges. It isn’t enough for the prosecution to say that you were at a party where alcohol was present. Instead they will have to show beyond a reasonable doubt that you were in possession of, carrying, or transporting the alcohol.
